Staff

Our staff are recruited using our ‘Recruitment Policy’ which ensures that they are all fully safety checked and hold relevant childcare qualifications. To deliver excellent care and learning for the children we ask that our staff have experience working with children.

The two Nursery Managers both have degrees as well as NVQ level 3/NNEB in childcare. The Managers continue their development through courses and attending relevant training.

The Deputy Manager will work alongside the Managers, developing their knowledge and training to assist in the daily running of the Nursery.

Room leaders all hold NVQ level 3 qualifications, First Aid and Safeguarding training. Room leaders are offered the opportunities to further their development through a range of courses to support the Nursery on a daily basis.

All staff have completed basic First Aid and Safeguarding training courses, as well as some staff obtaining Food Hygiene certificates. All Nursery staff have appropriate qualifications or are working towards their training in childcare.

Regular staff meetings and staff reviews,  allow staff to constantly update their training knowledge, to attend courses regularly and ensure that effective practise is used throughout the Nursery. Staff meetings also enable the staff to work as  a team and emphasise the importance of working towards the same ethos and understanding the best practice.
